At Nail'd.It!, we prioritize the health and safety of our clients with strict hygiene protocols.
We dispose of all single-use items, including nail files, toe separators, and buffers, after each use to prevent the retention of pathogens.
Additionally, we wipe down all surfaces, and foot spas are thoroughly cleaned with a disinfectant that is left to sit for 20 minutes to eliminate harmful bacteria.
HEAT SPIKES
Nail heat spikes, also known as heat spikes, can occur during the application of artificial nail enhancements, particularly acrylic nails. They happen when the chemical reaction between the acrylic liquid and powder generates excess heat, causing discomfort or even pain for the person who is receiving the application.
Heat spikes can be caused by factors such as improper mixing of the acrylic, using too much liquid, or applying the product too thickly. Proper technique and experience can help minimize the risk of heat spikes during nail enhancement procedures.
Overfilling of nails can potentially lead to discomfort or heat spikes, such as when nails are overfilled, and the natural protective layer of the nail plate can be compromised, making it more sensitive to heat during the application or UV process.
Heat spikes are less common with gel nails because the gel is typically cured using a UV or LED lamp rather than a chemical reaction that generates heat.
However, some individuals may experience a mild warming sensation during the curing process, particularly if the gel layer is applied too thickly or if the gel is cured for too long. This sensation is usually temporary and not as intense as the heat spikes with acrylic nails.
