At Nail'd.It!, we prioritize the health and safety of our clients with strict hygiene protocols.
We dispose of all single-use items, including nail files, toe separators, and buffers, after each use to prevent the retention of pathogens.
Additionally, we wipe down all surfaces, and foot spas are thoroughly cleaned with a disinfectant that is left to sit for 20 minutes to eliminate harmful bacteria.
NAIL CONDITIONS
It is important to note that your nail technician is not licensed or authorized to diagnose nail conditions. Only qualified medical professionals possess the expertise to accurately diagnose such conditions and provide suitable treatment recommendations.

Onycholysis (Nail lifting)
If a nail starts to lift up and no longer looks attached, you may see white discoloration. This is often caused by a fungal infection, psoriasis, injury from a manicure, or cleaning under your nails with a sharp object.
Acral lentiginous melanoma (Dark streak)
If you notice a new or changing dark streak on a fingernail or toenail, seeing a dermatologist is important. This could be melanoma, so early treatment is crucial.

TERRYS NAILS
A condition that shows a white nail with a red or pink band at the top, is often linked to aging or serious health issues like liver problems, heart failure, or diabetes.

BEAU'S LINES
This can result from infections, poorly managed diabetes, peripheral artery disease, diseases presenting with high fever, inadequate zinc intake, and certain medications like retinoids and chemotherapy.

NAIL PITTING manifests as small round depressions or notches in the nails, often seen in individuals with skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema. It can also be associated with alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder leading to hair loss.
NAIL CLUBBING is the enlargement of the fingertips and the curving of the nails around them. It may be caused by low oxygen in the blood, lung disease, heart problems, liver cirrhosis, or gastrointestinal problems.

KOILONYSCHIA, also known as spoon nails, are soft nails curled up at the edges. This condition is often a sign of iron deficiency anemia or hemochromatosis, a liver issue causing excessive iron absorption.
YELLOW NAIL SYNDROME
This results in slow nail growth and thickening, with a yellow discoloration. Nails may detach from the bed, lacking a cuticle, implying lung-related conditions like chronic bronchitis and lymphedema.

PARONYCHIA
This can cause redness, swelling, pain, and pus. Acute paronychia is caused by nail trauma, while chronic paronychia is often due to allergens or irritants. Symptoms may include fever and gland pain.
