What is formaldehyde used for?

Most formaldehyde produced in the United States is for the manufacture of resins, such as urea-formaldehyde, used to make the adhesives for pressed wood products, such as particleboard, furniture, panelling, cabinets, and other products.
 

What is toluene used for?

Toluene is found naturally in crude oil and is used in oil refining and the manufacturing of paints, lacquers, explosives (TNT), and glues. In homes, toluene may be found in paint thinners, paintbrush cleaners, nail polish, glues, inks and stain removers.

What is ​Dibutyl phthalate used for?
Dibutyl phthalate is a man-made chemical that is added to plastics and other chemicals. In plastics, it helps keep them soft (a plasticizer). It is also used in elastomers, lacquers, explosives, printing inks, resin solvents, perfume oil solvents, paper coatings, adhesives, and nail polish.

What is formaldehyde resin?
With how pervasive urea-formaldehyde resin is, many industries make use of urea-formaldehyde resin manufacturers. Some of the more general uses include laminates, textiles, paper, wrinkle-resistant fabrics, cotton blends, and foam artificial snow.

 

What is the main use of camphor?

It is used in many rub-on products to reduce pain related to cold sores, insect stings and bites, minor burns, and hemorrhoids. Skin itching or irritation. Camphor is FDA-approved for use on the skin to help itching or irritation in concentrations of 3% to 11%.

It's a film-forming plasticizer. It helps make nail polish flexible and durable and also helps improve how well the polish sticks to the nail.

What is xylene used for?
It is primarily used as a solvent (a liquid that can dissolve other substances) in the printing, rubber, and leather industries. Along with other solvents, xylene is also widely used as a cleaning agent, a thinner for paint, and in varnishes.

What is Triphenyl phosphate used for?

Triphenyl phosphate has been used widely as a flame retardant and plasticizer. It has been used as a flame retardant for a variety of materials, including electronic equipment, PVC, hydraulic fluids, glues, nail polish, and casting resins.

What is HEMA?

HEMA, a light-curing monomer commonly found in gel nail polish, is also known as Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate or 2-hydroxyethyl Methacrylate. When HEMA is polymerized under UV/LED light, gel nails become hardened and shiny. HEMA is also used in other industries, such as medicine and dentistry
